The members of Melanie C's official forum at www.melaniec.net wanted to use their combined efforts and sense of community to help those less fortunate than them and charities who help those in need. As a result of this, in 2004, the Melanie C Fans' Charity Network was formed. It was also a chance for the fans to present a gift to Melanie in the form of a donation to a charity or cause of her choice every year.

CHARITY CALENDARS A real group project, everyone is involved from choosing the charities to submitting their own photos to be used. Fan photos are voted on and the top 12 are used in the calendar. Designed by Marjolein, only a limited edition of 100 are printed and sold to fans around the world. Profits from its sale are split between a charity chosen by the fans and one of Melanie's choosing. Melanie also signs a selected number of exclusive copies which are auctioned on eBay.
LIVE.ACOUSTIC.EXCLUSIVE. Forum members Rebecca, Claire and Charlotte organised an intimate acoustic gig by Melanie at The Garden venue in Islington. Not only did the event give fans the chance to see Melanie 'up close and personal' and listen to acoustic versions of some of her biggest hits, it also raised over £2000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care and provided a memorable and enjoyable evening for all who attended.
BEAUTIFUL INTENTIONS TOUR PRINT Produced using a mosaic technique of fan photos, the image of memories created a larger picture of Melanie taken on the successful Beautiful Intentions Tour of 2005. The posters were printed and sold, with profits raised going to Jessie's Fund and their work with musical therapy.
FORUM TOUR BADGES To coincide with the start of Melanie's tour, members wanted to meet and greet their fellow fans and make new friends at gigs - and did so with the help of the charity tour badges. A Network working at it's best, badges were designed in Oxford, created in Leeds and sent from Cornwall. Our donation from this project went to that year's Comic Relief campaign.
