I've been picking at the guitar for about 25 years. Really started about 5 years ago when Mama Brooks wanted me to make a recording of some of the songs I sang at church. So I did and, even though they weren't all that good, it was alot of fun doing it. Also, a friend at work wanted to get a band together to play for the Christmas dinner. That went great and we've been playing for the event ever since. Also got a praise band started with just myself playing at church. Then added my family and a few others. Decided to call ourselves 3rd Verse because it is often left out when singing congregational hymns at church. The Voice of Truth band from Irwinton, GA calls sometimes and I play with them. They are a GREAT band. I(We) are rooted deeeeep in Southern Rock!!

Asphalt Cowboy consist of some very talented and experienced musicians from middle and north Georgia.
Matt Pippin (formerly with the Jason Aldean band and Ceylon Bleu, currently with the Thomas Tillman Band) is on Lead Vocals and Lead Guitar. Mark Johnson (formerly with Maude's Cabin and the Thomas Tillman Band, currently with Ceylon Bleu) is on Lead Guitar, Harmonica, Mandolin and backup Vocals. Ed "Snuffy" Smith (formerly with AMF, currently with Ceylon Bleu) is on Bass Guitar and backing vocals. Kevin Casey (formerly with Ceylon Bleu, currently with Mule Driver) is on Drums.
This is a great lineup of musicians that is sure to rock your socks off.
