You are the dream of shadows
Dressed in remnant clothing.
your body is the dream of shadows set free from
the mid-day sun
Protected from the flames of light.
the shade you create is
the radiant dream that ushers
you into existance
Flat dark images follow you
everywhere until sundown,
when, in beamless light,
you begin to follow them
In what way would the
music of shadows be considered inferior
to the music of mankind?
We colored people,
glowing solar reflectors,
were painted by gods who only wanted half of us
to live in the fleshy gate of visibility.
The other half are weightless,
wandering ethereal mimics.
The shadows are always dreaming so much
And on an overcast day,
you are the cumulous dreams of
suspended water particles casting gloomy waves
of empathy at your head
These black words attest to the contrasts
that signify hermetically-sealed dramas
of fulfilled wishes come true
You are the dream. And the dream is all
Somber flatness, an oil-lamps opposing host,
a sillouette as dark as the inside of a ghost
Burnt illusion, anomomous sunbathers with ideals
make visions of absence
that sunlight repeals
Variety laughs at your secret dreams and wishes,
but variety is impetuos and
sometimes jumps to conclusions
So I am the dream cast from the wall;
an evening of skin in the land of the visibles
and directed by a callous sundial
What kind of magnificient imagination
do the long shadows of mountains posess?
Is a tornedo only the
nightmare of its attendant shade?
Or is the ocean each night
the repetitious dream of darkness itself
with starlight reflected on its waves only serving
as a reminder of the sun's essential goodness.
Human will may only be superstitious reflection
that one entertains when one fails to perceive the
darker shades of meaning in these shadowy letters
Your life is directed by spirits
who truly understand the subtler laws of coincidence.
And we've sent you on a labrynthian journey
and you've finally found this,
our letter to you
I am you. And I am waking again now.
