I've been recording underground pop music on analog reel to reel tape for the last 12 years, first in Bloomington, Indiana and more recently in San Francisco. I am having a tumultuous affair with the electric guitar and I must confess that I have an addiction to noise that has been both a blessing and a curse, depending on how you see the world. Through the use of tape delays and electronic filters, I manipulate sound to I create melancholy songs with a hint of the psychedelic. I mostly write about dangerous, but beautiful people and things, alternate states of reality, emotions, and fast cars that I don't drive. I actually prefer to be the passenger, get mellow and enjoy the ride. When I have a band, we are called THE STEREO GLITTER. Most of the time however, I perform alone with an acoustic guitar.
i was listening to your music a few days ago, Destroyer came on and i fell in love with the song all over again. you're one of the only artist that i can start listening to the music and it seem like its the first time i ever heard it, and i can't get enough. I'll be listening to it on repeat for god knows how long.
Thanks for "Indiana Song." I just posted a review on Itunes again.
I spent the first 24 years of my life in Indiana, til I finally left to come here and start making music videos and the like. I appreciated the sentiment.
I love the sound and what youve done with the new music! it all sounds amazing. and i know i'll sound like a mother when i say this but youre really good at what you do.
miss ya chucky!..... you coming to meleksahs' wedding tomorrow? She has made me a bridesmade. I will be doing the step-stop thing just to make sure I don't fall. Such a beautiful thing it will be.. She is going to be so stunning tomorrow. Much love, and I hope you are happy.. :)

Hi Charles and band! You were all terrific opening for The Mother Hips at the Sweetwater farewell! Charles, I do love your ruffles! You play one hell of a mean guitar and your band was wonderful! I would love to see you at the Make Out Room but I can't make it! Drat! Where will you be next? I presume your A string is feeling better! I'm glad you brought an extra guitar! I'm so happy to be friends and to be able to track your calendar! Love, Diane from Petaluma
Good times last night, Chuck! You were awesome on stage! Your friends were very cool, of course. ha! We'll have to have a bus full of you come visit us in Chico. Thanks again for your hospitality. I dig your place! Thank your myspaceless roommate for the good time!
Your tunes are sweeet! I would like to thank you, as I have had an impulsive burst of confidence and constructed a music page as well.. (Thanks in part to our howling at the moon, I might add.. ) See you soon, L.
Wow. Let's see. What can I say about Chuck (nee Charles)? The guy writes some of the best songs I've ever heard. They will break your heart and shatter your illusions, while giving you the strength carry on and piece it all back together. You will be affected. You will be changed. You have been warned. Thank you. That is all.
Grüß Gott, mein herr! I hope you are getting some good use out of my superawesomefabulousgroovy belt. It's a very compatable piece. Understated.. appropriate... elequent... functional..... holly golightly-esque, very chuck indeed. HA! hope life is good. -L.
Hey there, palomine. Not only was Natalie excited (see comment below), but I, too, was pleased beyond comprehension to get my very own copy of "You Are on My Radar," which Nat and Ben were kind enough to bring when they came up to Indy for last week's show. I concur wholeheartedly with her assessment: These are beautiful songs that should be heard by all. With the Bay area as susceptible as it is to earthquakes, your very quiet and intimate CD could be just the thing to unleash an unimaginably strong tectonic event. It may be wise to consider touring eastward! It was great chatting with you the other night, even though the connection eventually faded, and I was glad to hear that things are well. Keep on doing what you do and know that our thoughts are with you.
I was so excited to come home and find copies of You Are On My Radar last week. Thank you for sending it. I've probably listened to it a dozen times this weekend alone. (It may be time for an intervention...) It's beautiful and it sounds great. Wonderful songs. I can't tell you enough how much I love this record.
AWESOME show Fri. night, Chuck! Those guys who backed you up were outstanding, totally fun to watch, great energy, talented, and cute! You shouldn't deny the world the electric guitar rock God side of you.
