The Words and Music Showcase was a success and all of the songwriters had a great crowd to share their music with. Jeffery Pepper Rodgers started the night off with a song, and invited Jeneen Terrana and Charles Marlowe to the stage. The three songwriters each played four songs in rounds, and the crowd was listening and tapping their feet to our catchiest songs.
The second set featuring Dennis Bergman Broom was very entertaining as he took the audience along a journey of his songs on the piano, his guitar, and then his full band, back up singers and all. Broom’s lyrics were cracking up the crowd with their wit and humor, and many in the audience sang along. It was a fun night with lots of amazing talent of different varieties.
Charles Marlowe has added photos and video clips from the Showcase on facebook, myspace, and youtube. If you missed it, there are a few clips from Marlowe and Broom’s set. Check out myspace.com/charlesmarlowe for details.
Charles has released his three song demo under the name “Fallin’ For You.” It features three singles: “Fallin’ for You”, “Addicted to You”, recorded with Garrett Knob in Baldwinsville and “Throw Me on the Bed,” recorded by Marlowe at his home studio. “When I tell people about my home studio, they sometimes think I have this elaborate set up but I don’t,” Marlowe said.
“ I’ve got a small one channel mixer that I’ve plugged into my USB port, and I’ve been using the Adobe Audition programs. It’s a whole lot of fun, even though I’ve barley figured out how to use it! A couple of my friends help me set it up, and install the recording programs.”
Charles Marlowe has been setting up more showcases in and around Syracuse on the strength of his demo, and there are five shows lined up as of now, all around the area.

Hey There! I hope you're having a super awesome day! It would mean SO much to me if you would check out my new song Confusing Cloud and maybe even let me know what you think! Thanks so much! You're amazing! :D -Nick [Ahnest!]
ps - If you have time - go check it out on purevolume, too! Song plays on that site help move me up the charts and to be on the top ten would be truly amazing. Each play counts once everyday. You can help! Here is a link: http://www.purevolume.com/ahnest
Hey, I've got a new acoustic demo up of my song "Snapshot Chronicles" up now. Feel free to listen, comment, and if you like it tell your friends. If not, that's cool too.
I kept trying to respond here yesterday and it wouldn't let me. Though that could have been a Michele issue instead of a Myspace issue. Sill have to get used to all this myspacing shit! I posted a few pics up. Will work on getting a lot more other stuff up as time goes on.
I'll be over on fb in a little while. We can chat about the screenplay. If I don't hear from the DP and the Composer in the next couple days, I'll email them. Hopefully they'll be onboard.
that would be awesome. ive been meaning to see if u guys wanted to come down but things hav been soo crazy lately. u sould definitely come by. it would be awesome!
hey thank you, I'm glad you still think of me lol. I'm great, just broke up with my bf two weeks ago and I'm starting to warm up to the idea of no strings attached relationships. I've always been so serious. I kinda wish I could come to NY this summer, maybe I'll make enough money to pay for a trip, but I don't know where I could stay... maybe find a hotel/motel.
