Interests

  • General

    As a writer I find that, over the years, I have acquired a number of varied interests. Naturally writing is my most favourite activity, but I do enjoy photography, visiting historic places on the look-out for the subject for another article, and anything really to do with local English history.   • Television

    Television is much of an attraction to me. I do watch a few programmes, but to be perfectly honest, I can't really find that many programmes of any quality that attract my interest.

  • Books

    My interest in books is quite widespread - fiction, non-fiction, biographies and more. But after writing for most of the day, all I want to read is something easy and entertaining.

  • Heroes

    I don't really have any heroes as such in the conventional sense of the word. Anyone who has overcome their own problems in life is a hero to me.

About me:

Hi there. Music has always been an important aspect in my life ever since I was quite young, so it worked out that throughout much of my adult life I played drums in various bands; and although I enjoyed it very much there came a time to call it a day. Although music was very important, my other passion was reading. So, that when I finally put my drums in cases for the last time, I was not too sad about. Now I had the chance to take writing seriously. For years I struggled, learning as much as I could about the craft. The hard work paid off. I have had many articles, autobiographical stories and photos published in UK magazines and on various websites.
