Influences
I'm probably influenced by every drummer I have the pleasure of meeting and hearing. If forced to pick some....Art Blakey, Elvin Jones, Tony Williams, Steve Smith, Zigaboo,Billy Cobham, Tony Allen, Brice Wassy, Mokhtar Samba, Mike Clark. .........
First "real drum teacher" was Bud Mohn...luckily he taught to read early on....also the word swing...Grew up playing in various junior drum and bugle corps in the Philly area including the Crossmen...the whole school marching/concert/jazz band thing...four years in the USMC drum & bugle corps, as a snare drummer and percussion arranger...instructed and arranged for Ridley High School Marching progaram - drum line, horn line, then back to drum line...Performed / recorded with various Phily area bands, some of those being Naked Culture, Future History, JIm Obie Band, Kitchen Chairs Jazz Trio, Alligator Zydeco Band, Mark Armstrong Blues Band, most recently James Day and the Fish Fry, Suzanne Gorman, Jim Stanson

What kind of gigs do you play these days? I finished college and have been working in the business world since the end of my enlistment, so other than listening, music hasn't been as big a part of my life.
I hope Sunday morning's treating you well. Please stay in touch.
