Charles von Rosenberg has been playing music in concert halls, clubs, houses, streets, backyards, mountains, deserts, and beaches since the age of 14. He learned to play folk music listening to old John Prine, Townes van Zandt, Mance Lipscomb, and Lightning Hopkins records, and with fellow friends and musicians at the Yellow Bordello house in Denver. In 2004 while on tour with the band Manalive! Charles found himself in a dingy Milwaukee basement, playing bass with a local drummer and an old bluesman from Joliet. The feeling stuck and the sound that emerged was a mixture of folk and blues that tries to stick to the basics, focusing on pure emotion and feeling rather than therigid structures of mathematical music. After traveling the world for the last 7 years, trips which took him throughout Europe, India, Asia, and the United States, Charles is now based in New York City looking for new musicians, experiences, and songs. Live shows are known to be genuine, intimate, and emotional. Charles has worked for at length with collaborator and fellow songwriter Mike Neff, an unparalleled lyricist and musician. Their project Los Dos and the New American Ramblers has been exciting audiences in Denver for years. Their self-titled E.P. and the L.P., "E Pluribus Dos" are available on their myspace page at www.myspace.com/losdosandthenewamericanramblers , While in Korea Charles recorded a solo album with well-known Mica Mountain Studios engineer Michael Laveck. Michael's unique touch along with the help of bassist Kurt Gough and friends created a unique sound for the album Everything's Alright. Look for an upcoming blues album in the process of being mixed by longtime musical cohort and recording engineer Andy Wild.

Alright chucky von noodlescup, so I like the new songs you put up, they must be what it sounds like inside your head all the time. Check out the pictures I put up from when Tyler visited last week. Neff/ Von R/Gris Mexico road trip 08?
I like your new song & miss you a lot. Sounds like you been gettin into the iron n' wine. Yup. Thats good. I saw him do a solo set the other night cause his band got caught in a snowstorm. I've always wanted to hear how those songs sounded when he played them alone in his bedroom. I would like to call but the number don't work. Thanks for the package of goodies. I still don't know what half of it does. Say hi to Erica. Mike
Oy, happy holidays and whatnot. I was watching Black Adder and Wellington really reminded me of your mate, Mike Neff. Watch this'un: http://quicksilverscreen.com/watch?video=17193 ... probably cuz of the sideburns. Your vocals have come a long way, and I miss playing tarot in dirty apartments. Be well.
