Charley Orlando has been writing songs for over 27 years and touring North America for 19. In 2007 Charley released 3 Albums; (2 Solo projects and One with his side project Ruha), two of which “Charley Orlando” & “The Dust That Lands”, have been added to the 50th Annual GRAMMY entry list in 6 categories. In 2005 Charley’s debut solo release “Beauty & Pain” was added to the 48th Annual GRAMMY entry list in 4 categories. In his career Charley has released 11 albums, played nearly 3,000 shows in 45 states in the USA, Mexico and Canada, and has shared the stage with the likes of Peter Rowan (Old And In The Way), Jorma Kaukonen (Hot Tuna and Jefferson Airplane), David Lindley (Jackson Browne), John Dawson and David Nelson (New Riders Of The Purple Sage), Martin Fierro (Legion Of Mary and the Grateful Dead), Dave Mason & Jim Capaldi (Traffic), moe., Leftover Salmon, Tony Trischka, Jazz Mandolin Project, Michael Glabicki (Rusted Root), Spin Doctor’s, Kid Rock and even 70’s and 80’s rockers Meatloaf and Quiet Riot; not to mention such prominent music festivals as the classic High Sierra in California to the up and coming 10,000 Lakes in Minnesota. Whether Charley is playing Solo or with his new project Charley Orlando Band his shows are always honest, emotional, professional and memorable.

Ruha is a 4 headed love machine! Collectively they have over 20 years of touring experience. Ruha can play a 3 minute rock song, a country stomp, or a 20 minute exploration of music within a song. This Band is fresh and different every time they step on stage. Ruha means Air, Breath & Atmosphere and that is exactly what Charley Orlando, Max McKee, Greg LaPoint and Brian Lauri create with this music! Between all the members they have shared the stage with John Dawson & David Nelson (New Riders of the Purple Sage), Martin Fierro (Legion Of Mary), Hot Tuna, David Lindley (Jackson Browne), Peter Rowan, moe., Tony Trishka, Leftover Salmon, Blues Traveler, & Spin Doctor's to name a few and have had 2 albums nominated to the 50th and 52nd GRAMMY Ballot in a total of 11 categories! Look for Ruha to hit the road in Spring 2010 for a huge National Tour!

All that staying in one place must have gotten old quick for a rolling stone such as yourself. I was shocked to NOT see Lincoln NE or St. Louis on your tour schedule. Oh well, different times, different band, different gigs... and life goes on.
I heard of this band when I was at Summer Camp! Some beautiful lady with dark hair and beautiful eyes, smiled at me and handed me a card. I can't get her face out of my head!
