Charlie ASH is dance, it's punk, it's rock, it's fun.
Charlie ASH set about to do things their own way, and in doing so have
created live set and sound that's internationally original.
3 years ago Charlie ASH burst from rehearsal space to lead the
stampede of bands that reinvented the Wellington gig scene.
A few band members later, and finally Charlie ASH clicks, the current
and perfect line-up features the two original punkette's Mailee
Mathews and Rosie Riggir, and Guitarist Dave Kahn, and Drummer Ben
Michelson.
Together Charlie ASH's simple sound envelopes techno, punk, pop and
rock and all agree, star factor is more then present.
C.ASH has grown into festival band, playing Cheap As Chips 08 and Rhythm
and Vines 07, and Southern Amp 07, and the launch of NZ Fashion week 07.
The bands exploding creativity has produced NZ's first 3D video Ah-hA (directed by Ed Davis), and an award winning musical (BOX). The O'Baby video (directed by Sally Tran), won the DIY Music Video Competition "Handle The Jandal (overall and best concept '06)" and the Couldn't Couldn't video (directed by Ed Davis) was selected by NME TV. All of C.ASH's creative offshoots get heads a'nodding.

Ladyhawke, OKGO, The Slits and Juliette Lewis & the Licks!
Debut EP CAN. CAN. is instore's now and recent remix release 'O'Baby,
Charlie ASH Vs. Module (Electrotech for Breakfast)' reached number 8
on the NZ Alternative Radioscope charts.
