French born Le Mindu has been captivating London's follicles since his move
from Berlin in 2008. After coming 22nd in the Observer's top 50 cool list and
having recently been featured in Russian Vogue, The Sunday Times, Vice
magazine and presented on French TV's La Mode La Mode La Mode, Le
Mindu is not content with merely tending the tresses of his star studded
clients, who include Peaches, the B52’s, Metronomy, Jodie Harsh, Carrie
Mundane, Florence and the Machine, Kap Bambino and Veruschka, but to
name a few.
Le Mindu works from his studio come Salon based in Shoreditch, East
London, and is also acting as Hair Director at Super Super Magazine. He has
recently designed a new jewellery range alongside up-and-coming
womenswear designer Gemma Slack, working with hair and leather. Another
recent project includes styling the hair of 100 limited edition Barbie dolls
adorning the designs of Roksanda and Danielle Scutt. All to be sold
exclusively at Colette, Paris and Dover Street Market, London.
On February 25th 2009, Le Mindu Showcased his debut Autumn/Winter '09
collection at London Fashion Week featuring 14 looks of original wigs,
hairpieces and accessories combining antique elegance with futuristic
influences. Le Mindu is currently working on his new collection, which will
premier next September at London Fashion Week Spring/Summer ’10.
