*NEW MUSIC WILL BE UP SOON! ENJOY THE VIDEOS IN THE MEANTIME! THANKS-CHARLIE*
Hey there everyone. My name is Charlie Magdaleno, in case you couldn't tell already (haha). I'm 20 years old, and I'm from Garden Grove, CA. I've been performing for about all of my life, in bands, in choirs, in plays, all sorts of things. My music and influences come from all over the place. I respect, appreciate, and typically enjoy all types of music. I don't necessarily like to hold myself to one particular genre or style, and I like to think that comes out in my music. There are a lot of people that write music for themselves, many times as a form of relaxation or therapy; however I prefer to write for others. I want to make music that truly affects people. I want to make music that can instill all of the emotions and thoughts that make up the human condition in the listener. I want to inspire, to promote thought and growth, and maybe even action. I want to write music that people could scream out to at a rally, or even sing to their significant other on their 50th Wedding Anniversary. I really want to make a difference in the world with my music. That's why I also try to help others benefit from my music, be it emotionally, fiscally, or otherwise through fundraisers, percentages of sales, or simply awareness of certain issues. The fact of the matter is, we are all equals in this world, and when it comes down to it, we all really want the same things. I'd just like to do my part to help all of us reach those wants a little easier. In a nutshell, that's about it. If there are any other questions or comments you have, please feel free to conact me, I'd love to hear from you. I really hope you enjoy my music and can take something from it, it's all for you. Thanks, and enjoy.
rad charlie.. well the studio is definitely the new news.. getting things revamped.. starting from scratch but doing things right this time with the right team, drive, and equipment-- we'll be in touch about tracking/recording im sure== hit me up anytime, let's chill _! later, happy songwriting, love your songs+!
Dude, I have been waiting for you to release new music... hurry up! Haha. Thanks for the reply. I haven't been up to much, just school and work. Going to UCI for computer science, not sure that I want to do that forever, but hey, its something. And I'm workin at the magic shop at Downtown Disney.
I've had Singing Success for a while, but I wasn't consistent in practicing (and if you remember my singing, I had a lot of work to do). I've been pretty diligent this summer though. What really did the trick was subscribing to their online videos. I hadn't at first because I hadn't mastered singing success, but it was really helpful to see them actually teaching. I think I've made a lot of progress just in the last month or so.
No lessons yet, I paid for one to try it out, but then I started making progress using the videos, so I decided to wait to until I had improved a little more so I could get more out of the lesson... I'm broke now though, dude, since I just had to buy a car and pay for school this month. But I'm definitely gonna see about lessons from them later, they're freakin amazin! Are you doing yours over skype?
But yeah, thats pretty much it. Talk to you soon,
Jesse
Ps, you were already a really good singer, so after a few lessons I'll bet you'll be like crazy awesome. I'd say go for redoing the vocals if you think you could approach it better, just don't get stuck improving the same album forever.
haha im @ a show every chance i get. just being able to listen to live music is a gift. some people cant even do such an amazing thing. so i just really take that gift for granted and use it when ever i can
Its good to hear from you! I was surprised because you commented back so fast. haha. I've been great though...I've been coaching a lot of tennis lately and its been a blast. I really like your song You, the Moonlight and Me! Do you have any shows coming up soon?
