21 year old Charlie Rose has been singing and dancing since she was a youngster, practising in her living room and performing to her sister. Growing up listening to Michael Jackson and Celine Dion, Charlie was also a keen Irish dancer. Much of her spare time was spent travelling to dance competitions, where she won various medals and trophies including second place at the Great British Championship.
When Charlie Rose was 13 years old, she decided that singing meant more to her than dancing, and arrangements were made for her to take some singing lessons at school. Performing Disney classics and pop ballads in school concerts gave her the confidence to enter a talent show held by the local church youth group, and singing a hit by Mary J Blige, Charlie was voted the winner. Although she had been writing her own material for some time, the talent show inspired Charlie to focus her efforts on singing and songwriting.
At 16, Charlie Rose won the Brit Bus Tour songwriting contest (for the under 21 category). Unphased by large crowds, Charlie loved to perform live, and gained experience at various venues, always performing her own material. Charlie's live performances included singing at football league stadiums and singing live on Sky's Gospel channel, Revelation TV . At this stage of her career, Charlie's music was predominantly pop in nature but having discovered a real passion for R&B, Hip-Hop, Soul and Gospel, Charlie Rose made the decision to take a break from the music industry to re-define herself accordingly.
In Spring 2008, with a vibrant new makeover and outstanding new material, Charlie Rose was ready to face the music again. Working with Nu-management, Charlie has been given the opportunity to work alongside talented music producers to create amazing and inspired works.
Used to a studio enviroment, Charlie utilizes her powerful vocals as a soloist session musician, for already signed acts. All tracks are self written and recorded at 'Studio 76' In Bushey, Hertfordshire, working with Producer Jon-Mann Smith.
Her eagerly awaited album 'Looking For Love' has now been completed and mastered at Metropolis Studios in London. The finish outcome has left Nu Management and Charlie excited for what she's going to bring next into this industry! Watch this space!..
