Charlie’s Candystore was originally formed in 1995, starting as a “gothic-metal” quartet, ready to take over the world. That year on October 27th they arrived, making a nice scar on the face of the Philadelphia music scene, by opening for Sunshine Blind at the now defunct Asylum nightclub. Throughout the years “Candystore” has undergone many changes & experienced what the local music culture has to offer, including opening for some national acts such as Gilby Clarke ( Guns & Roses ), the Misfits, and Zakk Wylde’s Black Label Society. Having exhausted most local possibilities, The Candystore has called it quits. This page now serves as an archive for everything Candystore. !
