Back at school, i was invited to a friends house. His dad played guitar. He lent me some stuff from the 1960's by Lightning Hopkins, Sonny Terry, Brownie Maghee, Mississippi John Hurt -
i taught myself how to play guitar and harmonica by listening to those records. Around this time i started busking on the weekends and during the school holidays - that is how i taught myself to sing.
Soon after i was introduced to Son House, Handbone, Blind Willie, Charlie Patton, Robert Johnson, amongst others.
