Through the years there were several "reasonable" tragedies at the Charlotte School. Through the '40s there were three young basketball players that with no previous medical conditions that had fatal asthma attacks and died. Even in the dead of summer, there is a definate chill in the gym.
The winter of 1956 also saw a tragedy as a young boy who had been hiding in a closet was accidentally locked in the school over Christmas break. Unfortunately, a week later the janitor found the boy. The temperature was around 66 degrees in the school, but the janitor described the boy's skin as a block of ice. Rigor mortis may explain the stiffness of the body, however, the janitor would go on to tell that the boy was completely frozen. His footsteps and clawing can be heard from the closet through the entire building.
Finally, the last year that the school was open, the principal had a fatal heart attack and died in the old art room. The room before it was used for storage. The room that saw that old man's death has always had a creepy vibe, but the weirdest thing is in that old storage room. It's been painted several times, and it's even been painted black, but before the paint will even dry the old institutional seafoam green comes through the new coat of paint. There is also a very cold feeling all of the way through both rooms.
We had a volunteer (with a preexisting heart problem) last year who describes 4-5 men that had supposedly chased her under a large tree and only disappeared after she had an episode. Fortunately, she was able to control it and only was laid up for about 3 days after the incident.
We've all heard and felt things, and we volunteer to open up this old school, dispite all of the terrrible things that have happened in the past. I pray for your sake that should something happen this year, that you are lucky enough to get away unscathed.

Um, so I take it you're unhappy with me...hmmm. How to fix this situation...Well, I am sorry...not sorry you didn't get to scary me to the point of tears, but sorry anyway! How about this, let's all get togehter in the next week or two and talk this over, without power tools? We can be rational right?
