Charlotte Talks with Mike Collins is a one-hour talk show produced by WFAE 90.7fm. The program airs live from 9-10am Monday through Friday and is rebroadcast weekday evenings at 9. You can also listen to our live stream or download our podcast, all at wfae.org
Launched in April of 1998, Charlotte Talks has become the Charlotte region's exclusive forum for the discussion of politics, growth, the arts, culture, social issues, literature, human interest, the environment and more. If something is of interest to people in the Charlotte region, listeners and leaders know the topic is bound to be discussed on Charlotte Talks.
The show is hosted by veteran Charlotte broadcaster Mike Collins, who has been a fixture in local radio and television since 1985. His knowledge of North and South Carolina combined with his 30 years experience in broadcasting has helped to make Charlotte Talks one of this area's favorite call-in programs.
Charlotte Talks' senior producer is Wendy Herkey. The associate producer is Tim Ross. The researcher is Erin Sutton, and our engineer is Jobie Sprinkle.

Charlotte Talks is a top flight show. It ranks among the best of its genre I have ever enjoyed. I can better find out what is going on all around me by tuning it in. As the years have passed you have become more and more astute and savvy about your topics and guests. I continue to expect it to get some highly sought after and publicized award and you will be stolen away from us to some national NPR position on a level with Terry Gross. I will still be a proud fan who can say I used to listen to you interviewing people like my husband and friends and other artists and doers in the region.
