Hey Wrockers! We're Chasing Quaffles--the newest band on the Wrock scene! Band members consist of Angelina Johnson and Alicia Spinnet, two famed Gryffindor Chasers who want to wrock!
I'm not sure why we decided to hop on the Wrock bandwagon, but we're hoping that it's a wonderful experience.
Like other Wizard Rock bands, our goal is to promote reading. We write music that will hopefully inspire people to pick up Harry Potter (or any book for that matter) and read just for the heck of it. Reading is fun!!!
Currently, we are only performing locally due to scheduling conflicts. If you're a library or bookstore in the area, we'd love to perform! You can book us by emailing chasingquaffles@yahoo.com.
ANGELINA JOHNSON (Katie)
Angelina first picked up a guitar nearly 5 years ago and has been writing songs ever since. Although, she had been a fan of the Harry Potter books since they were released in the US, she didn't think she'd be in a Wrock band at all. It wasn't until early Decemeber 2007 when she realized the life of Wrock was calling. Angelina thanks The Black Sisters for being an amazing source of inspiration as well as her favorite muggle bands, The Jonas Brothers and Aly & AJ.

ALICIA SPINNET(Jen)
Alicia is completely terrified of performing in front of a crowd, and is apparently wondering why she was dragged into this in the first place. However, she considers herself a huge Harry Potter fan, as the books actually got her into reading. (she read them when she was only 9!) Now, 9 years later, Harry Potter has opened up a new and creative road for her, and she gets to perform coming up very soon. In front of people. Oh my.

At my school, I am going to have a fundraiser in order to support the LGBT. (If you don't know what that means, it's the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender parties.) A few days ago was the Day of Silence, and I think it's a great kick off for this fundraiser. People are highly influenced by the power of music, and by the power of books. What does that mean? Wizard Rock. We are going to have a large get together where we are playing Wizard Rock music, watching Harry Potter, etc. All the money we earn is going to be donated to support these groups of people. If any of you have any clothing merchandise, or new - and affordable - c.d. 's, please message me, so I can purchase them from you and we can auction them off at this event! THANK YOU!
