Chayamai is a filmmaker and photographer based in Tokyo. After having graduated from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, she worked as an assistant editor for a publishing company. Then she started to participate in making independent films. Since 2008 Chayamai is creating motion pictures together with the filmmaker Yasuhiro Okamoto – their group is called "philosykos". Now she works as a freelance and expresses her absurd world in films and photos, whereas she places her focus on photography
