Fanny formed the first all girl hardcore band in Portland.
Johnny played in many a punk band in the UK.
Fanny would play bass for half the set and sing for the other half.
Johnny on the other hand, would play bass the whole set, and not sing.

Strangely, on either side of the Atlantic, people either worshipped them or hated their respective bands, they both frequently experienced adoration from their respective fans, or an ashtray/flying glass of beer from the less musically educated people in the audience
