Checkered Fist
Are an Australian Psychobilly trio who formed in 2007. When Julian Shaw (Lead Guitar & Vocals) met Jake Meredith (Drums/ backing vocals), their mutually shared musical tastes and influences led to a performance which bound them together from that day on. Damon Shaw’s upright ‘Double’ Bass & backing vocals completed the outfit in June 2007.
We are a Psychobilly band, but we always throw in Punk, Rockabilly and Blues.
We have claimed air play on American and Australian Radio Stations, have been placed in a Japanese Psychobilly magazine, toured around Australia, recorded an EP titled "Where Society Leads Us" and more.
We have recorded a NEW EP titled "psychobilly unleashed', Message us if you wanna grab a copy.
If you are into Drummers jumping around a drum kit, Guitarist's standing on top of anything he can and Tiny Double Bass Player's slapping like a mad man while standing on his Bass, Checkered Fist could dish something out for you.
