Have you heard about the solar system blues? Grab This One Band does the blues the way they like it on Omecron Percei 8. It's a strategy far removed from the music most commonly seen on the Planet Earth these days, but they make many attempts to blend the pop sensibilities of the 60's and 90's with the grooves in hip hop and R&B while targeting in on some of the strange sounds of one week in 1972 jazz history. But, amongst all of these influences, Grab This One is rooted in the blues. Maybe not the blues that you and I remember from those dusty old days back in 1931, but the blues of the atmosphere. The blues that originally traveled down to our planet from space transmissions made quite possibly a thousand years ago today. And now in 2008, the door remains open for all of this music from the past and the future, all of these sounds migrating through space, and possibly a little bit of crazy excess to be collected or 'grabbed' by this band.
Monday: Lets do RareOlde Times Pub on Patterson...What time does that start, and how do i get there? Second whats your phone number cracker so i can call youwhen i am lost?

Where are we playing at? and question? Are we doing solo stuff? Like you open mic night and I play after or are we planning on rolling a joint from the Amsterdam Hilton and the Grab this One Band and smoking it on stage? If so, don't we need to practice...ice ice baby?

Exactly the way – Sounds great and it has words !!! Brilliant. I’m on that jam like monkeys with cake…Kind of reminds me of James Blunt vs Phish.
Robert Waters – I’m digging that vibe and the solemn piano slice walk throughs are classic….I’m envisioning/ ear imagining spiral organs like stairs going down and then up in the background along with Pink Floyd esc words with minimal echo throughout the song….(I dunno, just a though to add). But sounds kewl.
Live whats the deal – Great jam…real upbeat and fast, me likey
Yo I'm a builder you robot! Your creator needs to reprogram you. I built summerfesty and the fest 07 set. It was awesome. The economy sucks these days for builders, sooooooo . . . I WAS thinking jams.
Great to hear from you and my answer is YES YES YES, I'd love to. Unfortunatly it'll have to wait till Late february...because currently I am in Japan, and will be here for another 30 days...I do not have any guitars here but have written one sweet love song as well. I'd love to hear your new song dude.
When I get back to the states I will hit you up. Kewl
That LIVE Whats the Deal sounds like the LIVE Thats the Real, or at least a closer version of the real that I experience LIVE with my ears and brain and such. I think playing in that particular "venue" really effects the quality of the playing as well: in that we can hear each other much better. Man. We've got to schedule that pranktice. YOu know my deal. ANytime. February 14th???
Hey . . . okay show on new years eve. The fieldhouse is really reverbish so I think you all managed well. I still think you guys could work on some of those songs more, you know, like, practice them. That would be really interesting to here. I also heard you guys are getting into topography or something. For real? Anyways, decent show, and you should put some of it online for all to hear, no matter what it sounds like. Because whatever directions or lack of direction, or stagnation, would be interesting to actually check out as opposed to just hear. It might get a discussion going. No? Maybe? God? You need to show what is happening. I'd like to download those tracks, even though I all ready have them on CD, because I recorded them on my laptop, that I am now typing on. That doesn't change the fact that I would still like to see those new live tracks on this page. I also know that it doesn't necessarily make it a fact that it is going to happen simply because it is a fact that that is what I want. It would be sweet though to get an 'is' from an 'ought'. Anywhathuh, I'll see ya guys. Oh and when are you guys gonna figure that song out about life? I mean, come on, get real, and it right. Love and buildings.
I think you all should continue working on New years sound check...thats got a real kicking vibe, and beat to it...even the 1st lyrics sound good...but it needs to be finished !!!
Its in the mail !!!!!!!!!!!!! The new Amsterdam Hilton album "Hello Again" has been mailed to you at your request...(its free of charge and only condioplies one thing, that you listen to it and burn it and give it to someone else:)
