I’m Adara Spencer and I’m head cheerleader for the varsity squad (okay, the only squad) at the Academy in Serfopoula, Greece. I'm also the editor of the Chronicle, our school newspaper. (It hasn't been proven, but I think I singlehandedly doubled circulation by talking Hermes into letting our paper boy borrow his sandals.)
My father, Lord Theodore Spencer, is the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Europe and World Trade and a close personal friend of the Prime Minister. In fact, the Prime Minister attended my christening. My mother is ... well, she used to be a stay at home mom and perfect political hostess, but now she's pursuing, shall we say, a more service-oriented lifestyle.
Anyway, I do not plan to follow Daddy into government, because one politician in a family is way more than enough. Instead, I'm going to the Sorbonne to study journalism. I plan on being an investigative reporter for a major newspaper, like the London Times or Le Monde.
