Chelley is a poet who believes in the power of words and the poison of silence. Active on the poetry scene in Ireland for over a decade (yes she really is old enough!), she has just completed a tour of Australia with the belfastpoets touring group. Her work is occasionally funny, sometimes ascerbic and always packs a punch... .. To date Chelley has been invited to perform across Europe and Ireland, at the Glastonbury Festival, Overload Poetry Festival in Melbourne, Spring Poetry Festival in Perth, Queensland Poetry Festival in Brisbane, Darwin Fringe Festival, Festival Cairns and in August and September 2007 will tour again taking in the Minneapolis Fringe Festival and venues across New Zealand, Australia and Singapore.
