Eighteen year old singer/songwriter, Chelsea, is a high-energy performer just breaking into the music scene in Phoenix. With powerful vocals and an engaging stage presence, her style and gift for performing a broad range of genres appeals to all audiences.
A 2008 graduate of Pinnacle High School in Scottsdale, Arizona, Chelsea has been singing since she could talk but only started performing live in late 2006. Since that time she has performed at Cocomo Joe’s, Desert Ridge Marketplace, Ground Control, Hurricane Bay, Next Coffee Co., Orange Tree Golf Resort, Skye and Va Bene's.
2007 was a break out year for Chelsea. In January she met local singer/songwriter Leroy and performed a duet with him on his debut album It’s Written… Now Listen. Chelsea is rapidly growing as a professional and is a member of ASCAP (the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) and is writing and producing her debut album. Her first single, Play Pretend, is now available on iTunes and all major digital music sites.
Chelsea's 2007 ended on a very high note by winning the locally televised talent competition Boogie @ the Bay 3. In 2008 Chelsea continued her professional growth as lead singer for an established local band, writing and recording her debut album and singing with several other notable Valley bands.
Chelsea recently participated in Idol in the Skye 2 at the amazing Skye Restaurant in Peoria. On opening night, she performed Kelly Clarkson's "Beautiful Disaster" and was the audience winner. In the semi-finals she was the unanimous choice of the judges after singing "Summertime" and "I Am Changing." In the finals on August 28th, facing off against seven very experienced and talented performers, Chelsea was awarded 3rd place by the judges.
Chelsea’s music has been influenced by many of the greats including Celine Dion, Tony Bennett and Ella Fitzgerald. At 18, Chelsea has a clear vision for her career and her music. Chelsea loves jazz and R&B and feels that most of her peer group is missing out on truly great music. Her dream is to develop a style and sound for these great genres that will have a greater appeal for her age group.
Chelsea is currently performing 2 and 3 hours shows around the Valley, accompanied by the very talent keyboardist and singer Lindsey Blaser. She can also be seen in the Platinum Room at Skye on November 26th and December 11th, co-starring in an ABBA tribute show. Chelsea thrives as a live performer and is currently in the process of defining her stage show and and will be actively recruiting band members in the next few months.

I heard your concert at SKYE was awesome the other night! I got about 10 text messages from my dad trying to send me videos of you. They didn't really turn out though. I hope to make it to your concert if I come home for Thanksgiving. :)
