These past two years have been awesome for Chelsea Flor – Playing nearly 100 gigs this year has prepared her for opening up for her first national touring act Pat Green to a sold out crowd at San Diego’s fine 4th & B Venue. Playing Street Fairs and Festivals as well as garnering a nomination for San Diego’s HAT Award 2006- "Honoring Acoustic Talent" for "Best Female Performance". Recently she has been added to the line up of The Slugger Trask Band as backing vocals, keys and rhythm as well as tracking with them backing her on her songs. She also works for Avalon Global Promotions, Bands of the World Tour as their Band Liaison.
As a Native New Yorker, raised in a musical family, she spent her early years embellishing the East Coast sound in PA, NJ and NY… She attributes her early influences to the family harmonies with endless nights singing to the pop culture of the times. 1st band “Wet Dog” influenced by local Trenton/Jersey Shore Blues/Rock scene… 1st Song published “Madame Blue” co-written with Jody Giambelluca recorded by Frank Stallone and Valentine… After a hiatus from music she became a well sought after custom bridal designer owning her own shop “Chelsea’s Closet”. All the while she had been a researcher into Ancient Mysteries. Her passion for Ancient Cultures took her to many cultural centers teaching and lecturing here and abroad. Her accomplishments include two Documentaries, “Mysteries of the Sphinx 2”, “The Roswell Decologue”, several TV shows and the publishing of her periodical “Third Eyes Only”.
Coming from Cherokee heritage her teachings were embraced by the Native American circles where she worked with the elders of many tribes expressing the ancient sciences of Sacred Geometry, Sacred Sound, glyph interpretation, cycles of the Heavens and ceremonial song. Her travels to Sacred Sites have given her purpose to write songs again using this inspiration to get back into her roots seeking the music scene again. Transplanted to San Diego, she co-founded “Sirens Lure”, an all female tribute to classic pop/rock harmonies. During that time she was embraced by the musical scene to put herself out there soloing with her original songs… Her song writing style hints at a musical bloodline that embraces everyone from Joni Mitchell to Jackson Browne, Sheryl Crowe to Avril Lavigne. Yet the Native American influence runs strong in her lyrics and rhythms. Chelsea’s vision is to harness and create a signature sound to capture the hearts and minds of those choosing to further world consciousness. When she is not out there performing, supporting the local music scene or taking in a rock concert or two, she’s busy following her passion for the lyrical song. On any given day, you can find her with her favorite dog “Joline” on her favorite perch at Sunset Cliffs singing to the harmonies of the Ocean and Sky.

Hi Chelsea Flor! Heaven & Earth is on hiatus now as Stuart Smith and Richie Onori have joined forces with bassist Steve Priest to reform "Sweet". For those of you unfamiliar with the band, Sweet originally formed in the early 70s and went on to sell over 40,000,000 albums with 11 International Top Ten Hits such as "Ballroom Blitz", "Little Willy", "Love is Like Oxygen", "Fox on the Run", "Teenage Rampage", "Action", "Blockbuster", "Hellraiser" and many others.
This reincarnation of the band reformed last year, playing their first show in June, and went on to play festivals throughout Canada and the States and had played to over 300,000 people before the year was out. During this tour last year they recorded a live CD available on Amazon entitled "Sweet, Live in America" which has received rave reviews - pick up a copy and please Add Sweet As Your Friend On Myspace!

Hey Chelsea, I hope this cheers everyones world, especially yours... Here are some of the Comic Con talent I photographed turned into my original graphic artwork. A before & after poster, done the hard way by erasing away the background of each person posing in costume. If only all the people in costume at Comic con magically were lined up at my chroma key studio... it would have been easier editing, but might be a little more than I could handle, I do like challenges!
