    Music represents the words that you cannot say, the feelings you cannot express. It gives you that high when you are down, or lets you know that you're not alone in how you feel.
    Music has helped me through some of the hardest times in my life; when i'm in hospital it gets me through not only the tests and surgeries, but the long nights; and when I'm down and out it's there too.
    My only wish? That I was musically gifted. Alas, I am not; that gene was passed onto my younger brother. All I can do is enjoy his band, and write a few songs if they let me!
    But are you interested in the bands that I like? Well here they are, with my number one being of course

    I used to be the biggest reader, but with the forced readings associated with high school and university (especially university) I stopped enjoying reading as much as I used too.
    But I still do read and when I do its most likely going to be
    - Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone
    - Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
    - Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
    (are you noticing a theme yet?)
    - Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
    - Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
    (can you guess the next 2 yet??)
    - Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
    - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
    These are not the only kids books I love. I grew up on the works of Roald Dahl and Enid Blyton, and I still love them to this day.
    As a result of too much study, I do not read so much for pleasure anymore. If I do I love a good crime fiction. Ian Rankin's Rebus series is spectacular. A little piece of Scotland and its dark criminal history in a book!

    Haha, the usual (for me) - getting there at 7am, eating crap food all day, overdosing on water, and clawing my way to barricade. Also, hating at least one support band :p. I do like your idea, though. You can fight past all the worn out people easier!

    Yes, this weather isn't to great for a coulple of dero invalids like us, extra baggage on hot days = EWWW :(
    I'm yet to work out how I'm going to sit on the train in the straight splint brace when I head back to schooling on Monday
    WAAAH!

    The pics I shot at band the other night weren't the greatest, I didn't sus out how to use the new camera til I got there and started shooting. It took me forever to work out how to use it propery and when I finally got it sorted, Reynolds got sick and we couldn't do anymore!! Lol.
    So I'm doing another shoot soon and then you can work your magic on them, the bandspace looks great you clever head!! :D

    yeah im all good.

    just yesterday my book was annoying me. one character was annoying me so much i wanted to punch him even though you cant do that to a fictional character.

    then my computer wasnt working, it was going really slow and then froze and yeah.
    then we ran out of sugar so i couldnt even have a cup of tea to relax :P
    BUT
    im all good now that i have a hug from you and chocolate micro chip cookies. That are both fattening and intelligent for you.
    they made everything better :P

    So, how was Halloween? I spent mine in a crowd of people waiting for a fireworks display. It was worth the wait. Guy Fawkes is on Wednesday, the 5th, so we got it a little early. I shall buy some fireworks this weekend, and go to another display next Friday. I was going to stay up to watch Friday the 13th but my eyes couldn't stay open to watch all of Sleepy Hollow. I went to the Halloween Disco at school the night before. The kids had some cool costumes. I didn't dress up, but I did wear my Dead! hoodie, which they liked, lol.

    Ah yeah... I wasn't thinking. Not the best news for you. I'm doubtful that they'll do a sideshow but you never know.
    How fast do Soundwave tickets sell? Maybe we could arrange a meeting for a sick girl, hehe?
    FFTL are fab. I just got my hands on Escape The Fate's new album, The War Is Ours on Saturday. At first I thought it was slightly poppier. They have changed vocalist. But now I've listened a few times their songs aren't bad, in fact they're similar to FFTL now. I think you'd like them. Rebecca did. They're full of arrogance, but are nice young guys. I like that.

    Halloween this week. I was going to dress up all goth-like, but I don't think I am anymore didn't get the costume I wanted to be Wednesday Addams.

    I went to Armageddon... a geeky, sci-fi, gaming, comic etc Expo... I had to LOL when my friend and I found ourselves in a room our boys/men playing trading card games and war role playing... and realised we were the only females. The weirdest thing.

    Well, I better get off to work. Ho hum.

    I like the new FFTL... I relly want to come over to Soundwave next year just to see them. I'll have to see how my saving goes. Oh, lol, speaking of Australians, there was this 50+ lady visiting with a woman that comes on Fridays to sow native trees etc with some of my kids, anyway, she was so amazed that our kids were 'wearing' barefeet, when I asked that Aussie kids never go in barefeet, she said 'no' repeatedly. I noticed she said 'no' exactly like Kath from Kath & Kim, so I commented "Oh wow, you sound just like Kath & Kim!" Let's just say I didn't get a response. I told my principal who thought that was rather funny.

    The weather is crappy and we're suppose to be having a BBQ to farewell the Wodongans (lol).

    I need to get the new Escape The Fate... they also have a new lead singer, so it's very different. I want to upgrade my ipod... if I can afford I'll get an iTouch, but we'll see. I have a list of things I want before Xmas, lol. Economy is crisis? Who says? LOL.

    Hey Shazza! I hope your surgery goes well and you make a quick recovery. I'm thinking if only you were well enough to get out and about you'd feel better *sigh* It sucks! You're like stranded. I feel for you, I really do.

    I haven't got any news really either. Have some Aussie kids and two teachers from Wodonga South School visiting for the week (they're our sister school). I haven't had much to do with them this time around.

    Haven't been to any concerts since last time. No one worth seeing.

    Hawaiki is good... he takes a few steps when he feels like it. And I taught him to make indian noises.

    Um... hmmm... yeah nothing fab. I shall be thinking of you. Thanks for saying 'hi'.

    Uni is going really well. It's a lot easier, like you say managing and understanding everything. haha.

    I had heard abut Tim Burton's alice in wonderland thing. I read it on wiki a little while ago. Wow, I think it's be incredible. I want him to do a beauty and the beast, cause that's my fave. haha.

    Haha. The Dangerous Person is a thing from Eagle vs Shark. It's a really cute movie. Colac is pretty rouh and tough though, but I get by. Haha. I'm glad you're feeling beter, that is good news indeed. You're so right, you can always tell who will be good and who will be crap. You can just get a vibe from them. I seriously don't understand how they can't hear how bad they sound. The show gets really crap as soon as it hits the final 12, they start to lose they're indivduality and the good ones disappear and they all head down the pop with a pinch of r'n'b road and that is so boring. Haha. My analysis of Aus Idol. I watched the break up too, it was a mildly clever ending but I prefer the good old happy ending in my rom coms.

    Oh, I'm great, well I think I'm grat which is just as good as being definitely great. Haha. I hope you are becoming strong and healthy so you'll be prepared if victoria comes under attack from a lesser state (like Tasmania). Haha.
    How's the world of Sharon outside of the health sphere? xo
