Who I'd like to meet: Anyone in the UK studying Chemistry before Uni. ChemNet can offer loads of info on careers, choosing Universities and courses- all served up with a huge dollop of Chemistry!
how is everyone today? anyone thinking of chemistry at uni? at the moment I think it'll be the MChem Chemistry with Medicinal Science at Southampton for me, but I've got ages to decide yet...
Thanks for the add Chemnet! Hello there my fellow Science enthusiasts!! I'm Elvis by the way... yeah it's so sad, my parents named me Elvis. Anyway hope you guys have loads of fun studying Chemistry and to all those applying for university good luck! Looking forward to meeting some of you in Chemistry week events.. :D
Sadly i havnt had the honour of glow in the dark pens, but i think we should all get a few to take home after meet the universities, anyone else going?
Hey fellow chemists.. OMG 3 comments! Does this show the huge interest people have in Chemistry these days..? Maybe not, seeing that chemists would rather do something practical rather than writing comments on a myspace profile..
Anyway, just came on to announce..
The "RSC Chemistry" ball-point pen I was given when I went to one of the meetings.. glows in the dark..!?
I live in the west-midlands area and went on one of the meetings at the Birmingham University and there, along with other fellow ChemNet members, I was given a pen which on taking home, I experimented on and soon found out that it glowed in the dark..
I talk too much, maybe it's because I study Chemistry.. let's get to the point.
Now, I realised that I might not be the only one from the West-Midlands and that ChemNet is more or less, all over the UK, so.. Has anyone else noticed this "ChemNet Pen Glow-in-the-dark scenario"? or rather.. has anyone else received such a pen from any ChemNet meeting?
Hello!
thank you for the add.
just wanted to say that the event "What Chemistry has done for me" was incredible helpful and intresting.
have a great weekend.
