About me:
Right now I am teaching English to kids at the YMCA to save money to go to business school. Hopefully one day I will have my own place and a business of my own—maybe a teashop or a record store—where people in the neighborhood can come in and say hello. I would even get a television and put on Wheel of Fortune at 6:30 EST.
I live in a very lovely, very crowded old apartment on the corner of Elizabeth and Hester Street in the heart of Chinatown. My family has lived here since my grandparents emigrated from Taipei in the early 50s…we all still live together here. My grandfather still brings his Hua Mei songbirds to Delano Park around the corner to gather with his old friends. It's an old tradition-- that is why I love this city— each of the different communities clinging to their own histories but all thrown together on one island
