We've been talking about that all morning. We have some plans. They involve time, but we're excited. And thank you, your daughters were adorable. They made the evening that much sweeter.
Hey Cheri! Do you think you'll be able to make it to our show tonight? We completely understand if you're way too busy or if you have plans, it would just be super-cool if you came. Plus Larry and His Flask! WOOOHOOOOO!
That is a really good song. It would be a lot fun to play, I'll talk to the guys about it. I grew up listening to him, along with so many other of what I consider REAL country singers.
Recording is going well. We're going in to the studio this wednesday to finish up the vocal tracks on "The Prayer for Safe Passage", record drum and scratch guitar tracks for "My Sister Abigail" (which I'm so excited for!), and -hopefully- get a copy of a song that is entirely finished "The Unkillable Josef". I'm so glad we're finally getting these recordings done, it's getting rather embarrassing to always say no when folks ask to buy our CD.
Much of the same for us (minus the washboard player). School, family, and band stuff. Cameron and I had coffee with Jerry Perry yesterday afternoon, and that was super-cool. We just talked about R.E.M., Alive and Kicking, and the local music scene. I can't thank you enough for making our paths cross with him. Oh hey- completely random and off topic here, but anyway- have you ever considered promoting all ages shows? This new venue called The Refuge is really nice, but it's obvious that they could use A LOT of help in promoting shows. I think you'd be quite good at promoting to a younger audience, and there's so many great bands that need a legitimate all ages venue that isn't Club Retro or the Boardwalk. Just an idea I thought I'd send your way.
Crap, I've rambled again. Oh well. I'm glad to hear you're doing well and we hope to see you soon, maybe get coffee again and talk about music for a couple of hours.

I have never made any complaint to FaceBook about anyone, not even him. Not ever. In fact, I have 'dropped' 'friends' so I wouldn't run into his comments, or vice-versa. I don't want anything to do with him.
If he wants to 'run into' me, I am very easy to find. I've gone the same place damn near every day for the last 12 years.
It wasn't even me that got him fired here; that was always the plan. I was moved into Production by Paul and Pam to replace all of the part-timers. Paul is just a nice guy and it took him awhile to fire anyone.
And I keep a lawyer, too. I'm lucky that way, our sons are best friends, we go to the same church, I see the guy all the time.
I agree with him on one thing; I also hate that you got stuck in the middle.
SO, I'm not sure exactly how good of friends you are with Jobe, so I'm going to let you know what kind of a person he his. As of yesterday, my facebook account was suspended due to someone falsely reporting that I was posting illegal material. So, I'm pretty sure that you know what kind of posts I was making, mostly news, social justice related issues, basic human rights violations, injustices that are going on in the world. Basically nothing that wasn't already previously published on the internet and legally available to repost. So yeah, I'm not on FaceBook anymore because one over zealous middle aged FUCK, who thinks he may have a chance at being your friend decided to fuck with me, YET AGAIN. SO, I know most sane and rational people would probably leave it at that, buuuuuut I hate Jim and two can play at that game. I would be REALLY happy if you would casually pass along the fact that I have secured a lawyer and I'm pursuing to the FULLEST extent any kind of legal prosecution I can for defamation of character and falsely reporting an illegal action so as to unlawfully censor another person. AND, just for further giggles, I happen to know that because this is such a new area in the way of laws and policing unlawful people on the internet, this is something that is typically a "hot" button issue with certain lawyer types.
I would also like to apologize for you being put into the middle of an otherwise ridiculous situation. So, its probably going to be awhile before I post anything there or talk to anyone there for awhile as I have to probably recreate my whoooooool account now. Which also means I have create a new email addy and Allllllll that fun stuff. Yup.
And, one a side note, if I EVER.... I mean EVER cross paths with Jim in public.......
