CHERRY DRIVE, the bastard child of Buddy Holly and The Pixies, is David Saitta (guitar/vox), Carmichael "the animal" Greyhat (drums), and D.J. "buzzcut" McBurney (bass).
Together, they formed CHERRY DRIVE in the winter of 2007 when Saitta, originally inspired by the rock music of the 1950’s and 60’s, found a cutting edge for his original songs with the addition of Greyhat’s metal-influenced drumming and McBurney’s driving bass lines.
So they started a rock ‘n roll band…
And called it CHERRY DRIVE— an homage to the scantily-clad stunners of the 1970’s and the sport cars they were fond of posing with.
CHERRY DRIVE’s live music sets range from surf-rock instrumentals, rockabilly and punk, to pulse-pounding disco moments and glam-inspired anthems. This has resulted in “crowds whipped into such a rock 'n' roll frenzy that some spontaneously shed their underthings” (Rocky Mountain News).
CHERRY DRIVE recorded their first studio album at Timewave Productions Recording Studio in 2009 with engineer and producer Andrew Harling. "Cherry Drive is a band with a wonder-working talent— producing memorable, hook-driven songs from the raw elements of rock 'n roll with melodies that sound like they’ve been around forever… " (SCENE MAGAZINE).
COLORADO MUSIC BUZZ MAGAZINE Says:
"There is quite a cult following that becomes apparent when CHERRY DRIVE takes the stage. I highly recommend checking out their live show as soon as you can. It is very refreshing to hear a band with their own ideas once again."
CHERRY DRIVE has played to audiences at great venues like Old Curtis St. Bar, Herman’s Hideaway, The Rocket Room, The Skylark, Three Kings Tavern, and Benders Tavern, and they have also been featured in Colorado Music Buzz and the Rocky Mountain News.

My friend Kim and I really enjoyed seeing you all last Friday. Sorry I was a little distracted after but too many drugs will do that – However, you should know we both talked about how nice the show was.
