Cherry Rock was introduced to Mr. Clement "Sir Coxone" Dodd of Studio One Label(Jamaica's Motown) by Leroy(Heptones) Sibbles. There, he recorded his first song "Please Be True" followed by "Double-Minded Man" and his Hit Song "I Am The Ruler".
"Rock" also collaborated with Leroy Sibbles on the song "Love Me Girl".
As a talented songwriter/recording artist, he has performed in many venues including Jamaica's National Arena and with artists such as Dennis Brown, Freddie McGregor and Judy Mowatt to name just a few. In recent times, he has performed in the USA on the East Coast to rave reviews. He does a delightful job as Co-Host of The Orthodox Showcase Radio Program on 93.5 FM in New York.
On the Shine Your Light compilation cd, are two tunes by "rock"; "Real Raw Roots" and "Ites". This artist has a soothing signature sound that is sure to please.
