Cheru Diaz aka Dj Akra was born in Alicante (Espanha) on 22-2-1983.
From child was interested in music, completing the medium degree of percusion in the music school of his city, at the same time thath plays drums in a speed metal band.
Later when this band finished… he pass throw diferent electronic music styles...and finally he was touched by Psytrance in 2003. From thath never take out this style and he take more and more information about the movement and history of Psychedelic music. He started to go to partys powered by the Tribe of Frog in Valência and Alicante, and moved to his firsts international festivals in Portugal (Crystal Matrix-Underwater Festival) and Germany (Fullmoon Festival and Global Buddha Party).
With his partner, Dj LEVKA and some good friends, he decided to create an association/group to promote the Psytrance Music in his region. Is here when Kantala Sound was born, in Octubrer, 2004, with the idea to bring people information and good sounds and the mision to make good partys in his city. This, make change his city, with lot of influences of other electronic musics in the past.
After his first little party like a promoteur, with great results, he decided with his friend dj Levka, starting to mix in his own partys. From here, the partys in thath place was in ascending, with big support by the people from Alicante. He colaborated with some clubs in his city: like Coco.lab Club and ArteSptiritu, in Carnaval partys. In May of this year, he plays in a diferents places in a camping zone, of ViñaRock Festival, where he had a very good actuation.
The past year he played in the best Open Air partys in Spain, like A costa del Sol ( Malaga ), Tranceformers Fest ( Ibiza ), Hypnotic Dancers ( Alicante ), Spell of Flames ( Alicante ), Freedom of Summer ( Denia ), Snowball ( Köln, Germany ), Happy Festival ( Valencia ), Time Still Running ( Alicante ) and finally in Agoust of the past year he plays in his first big festival, Indian Spirit Fest. ( Germany ). He have more and more bookings this year...
He had shared stage with artist like: Delisyd ( Noize Conspiracy Rec. ) Chromatone ( Vapor Vent Rec. ), Phatmatix ( Acidance rec. ), Bio Genesis ( Nutek Rec. ), Brain Hunters ( Noize Conspiracy ), Galactika ( Millenium Rec. ), Neelix ( Millenium Rec. ), D.N.I ( TRancemoon Rec.), Lamat ( FlowRec./Mex. ), Skifi ( Iboga Rec. ), Dj Zaidan ( Acidance, Temple Twisters rec. ), XamaCircus ( Thrishiula ) Dj Celli ( Spun Rec. ), Dj Cryspod ( Dragon Hunters ) Dj Phobos e Dj Fog ( Lenney Moon Rec. ) at internacional level, and Djs like Fiuzz ( Sindar, Spectral Rec. ), Dj Roddy Alien ( Spectral Rec. ), Levka ( Kantala Sound / Substical Rec. ), Yarza ( Tribe of Frog ), Biofatrance ( Namaste Project ), Crystall Meta ( Sinergia ), Ruhl ( Sinergia), Alyen Nrg ( Psylove ), Psyleno (GSG) o Microbe (GSG) at nacional level.
In march 2007 is taken by Substical Records from germany to represent it as a Dj, having is first set in this country in April of thath year.
In January of 2008, is proud to found a new organization to make more quality events and expand more the Psy around the world, under the name of " The Kharma Iniciative "
He..s mixing style is High Tek Full on with little bit twisted influences. From slowly and calm rythms can bring you to the extasis with powerfull and changing basslines, expressive melodies, smashing brakes and hypnotic effects. Run between 145 and 150 bpm with a lot of influences of Southafrican and Spanish Sound and German kicktrance., but he can mix every style...depends the feeling or the time when the set is open, he works with all styles.
He is studing de Publicity and Public Relations, in a Alicante university. At the same time he is taking lessons of Music Production and Synthesis, where he is taking his first steeps under the name of the live act AKROBAT, in a quest of sounds thath make revolution in a Psytrance Scene.
