Southern charm, Mississippi flare, and the voice to prove it are the ingredients for the recipe that is Cheryl LuQuire. This southern belle has the playful charisma of a country sweetheart with the sheer power of a soul giant. She's one part Faith Hill with another part Aretha Franklin. This powerful combination of country and soul sets her apart from the crowd and leaves a lasting impression on listeners.

Born and raised in the heart of Mississippi, Cheryl fell in love with music at a young age. She learned to sing from Aretha, Gladys Knight, and the Motown greats. Eventually she headed to Nashville where she began to channel leading ladies like Trisha Yearwood and Martina McBride.

"I have a wide variety of influences," says Cheryl. "From classic, southern rock to soul to modern country. I love it all, and I think you can hear that in my songs."

Songs like "Nothing Good Happens After Midnight" and "Feel" showcase Luquire's mix of pop country music with powerful vocals. She's not just a pretty face who likes to sing. She's a truly gifted vocalist who demands a listener's attention.

Cheryl's incredible voice helps her shine, but perhaps the factor that sets her apart from so many other young artists is that she has heart to go along with her soul. She's not just a southern belle who wants to be a rock star. She's an artist who longs to bless people with her music. Even at 22, she's a woman of deep faith who firmly believes that God has set her melody on the right path. Her story is filled with struggles, but hope and tenacity have carried her through.

"I'd really like to be the female Bono," she says with a smile. "I love to sing, but I want this to be about so much more than that. I pray that my music will allow me to reach people so I can make a difference."

And thats exactly what she's doing. Cheryl LuQuire may be young, but she is certainly a force to be reckoned with.
