God is my greatest influence. My family... I grew up singing with my folks and my sister and brother. Family members from both sides all sing and anytime we get together .... there is going to be some singing going on. LOL My musical taste are wide and varied from all types of gospel including contemporary, country, southern, and good old pure gospel to blues, jazz, pop. From big band to bluegrass.... Who could say where I fit in?? LOL... but singing is what I love to do and I praise God for giving me the gift and talent to do what I love.

MY HEART'S DESIRE ----
There are great moments in life when we have the privilege of experiencing an... "and it came to pass". A dream held deep inside becomes a reality. That is what this cd has been for me. A dream, a hope, a special way to reach individuals with the message of Christ. So many people today feel that all hope is lost and there is no reason to keep trying. They reach, seek, search with desperation just to find a little joy or peace to feel the emptiness of their lives. My desire is that perhaps through the songs that God gave me to write, some individual's life will be touched with a new joy, and fresh hope. If you don't already know Christ as your personal friend and savior... I pray you will find Him. If you have known Christ but have gotten lost on your way... I pray that you will find the way back to His sheltering arms. And if Christ is your friend and Savior... then I pray that you will feel joy and encouragement when you look through this page. He has already provided the way to peace, love, joy and hope. The price has been paid in full... all we have to do is ask Him. ASK HIM!!! TRUST HIM!!! Simple, but so difficult for many. I pray that today if you have not already, please take time to become acquainted with my best friend and the inspiration of my life... JESUS CHRIST. We can always "Count on Jesus". My dad has a saying that he has reminded me of more than once.... "God will pull you through if you can stand the pull". Hold on today and take a chance on Jesus. He is the knot at the end of your rope... the safety net beneath it. Talk to Him as you would your best friend... ask Him to come into your life and take control. He is there... watching, waiting and listening for you.

That's a little better...Hello, Cheryl! Just stopping by to check on my friend! I guess you've been on tour or in the studio recently. It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving and Christmas are knocking on our door already...the warmer weather has left us (at least up this way) but I still hope we don't get a lot of snow this season! :) Cheryl, there are a lot of blessings in my life that I'm truly "Thankful" for, and one them is for the gift of friendship!
