the members of chesapeake blue have their roots in the forlorn sound of the chesapeake bay and the twang of the blue ridge mountains. although some tunes are clearly country and others are surely not, the consistency lies in the way the audience is affected.
while the standup bass slaps, plucks and bows a rhythm only a large body of water could imitate, a melody sung by a voice as raw as the land itself treks along on thoughtful and sometimes humorous lyrics coming straight from the heart. add to that a three part harmony from a sister & a schooled vocalist/drummer, and therein lies the secret that allows chesapeake blue to enchant audiences everywhere.
