ChevyBombs.com is the new old skool place to appreciate, view, and discuss pre-’54 American fat fender steel cars. So what exactly constitutes a “Bomb?” Many will see the word “Bombita”, “Bomba”, and/or “Bomb” in reference to a genre of an old domestic car in “Lowrider”, “Street Low”, and maybe “Rod & Custom Magazine”. The “Bomb” or pre –’54 cars and trucks, were designed with large wide steel front and rear fenders separated from the hood and containing a split window. In addition, the automakers of the 20’s – 50’s did not hold back on the amount of chrome wrapping the car. Many will cruise with their 3” whitewall and fender skirts to give it that classic “gangster look”.
The goal of ChevyBombs.com is to focus on stock, lowrider, and custom autos from the late 1920’s, 30’s , 40’s, and early 50’s. Topics such as GM Accessories to old school Mopar tech tips can be found here. Despite the name, ChevyBombs.com is dedicated to The Big 3 (GM, Ford, and Chrysler). As time moves forward, we see less of these chromed out beauties out on the road with its exhaust rapping in the distance and playing the oldie tunes seeping out its thick glass window. Many vintage cars are turned into hot rods where they are left beyond recognition or left as “Diamonds in the Rough”. Therefore, ChevyBombs.com is here to resurrect the glory days of GM and many others. The discussion forum focuses on experience by the veteranos who have grown to appreciate real vintage vehicles. They can provide insight to the newer generation who are engaged in restoring an Oldie.
