About me:
Hello!
We were Chewing Gum, a weekly night for the connoisseurs of pop held every Monday night at Hull's Revolution bar. We aren't anymore.
We love pop music, but it gets a bit of a bad name, so we're here to right some wrongs.
We've climbed the loft to the attic and blown the dust off those classics that you forgot you loved, and we've travelled halfway round the world to hunt out the shiniest, newest pop gems - from ice cool Swedish electro, to noisy Aussies with big hair and bigger guitars. We love Dragonette's filthy sleaze as much as we love Britney's virgin/slut routine. And we love Missy's cyber rap as much as we love Mika's cartoon wailing.
We're sorry about Westlife, Simon Cowell and all of those X-Factor twats. That's not what pop is really about. If you put a bit of faith in us, we'll remind you why you fell in love with pop in the first place.
Chewing Gum takes place every Monday at Revolution on Lowgate in Hull. Aside from the brilliant music, you can double your fun - with cocktails on buy one, get one free all night.
