Legendary London knees-up, Chew The Fat! celebrates 10 years of late nights, drinking far too much and generally being rowdy with a right hum-dinger of a birthday tour which swings into Glasgow, where it’s held it’s bi-monthly residency for the last two years, for an exclusive Scottish party on Thursday 22nd November, at Sub Club!

After 10 years in the game, Chew The Fat! club founder Paul Arnold can still stand back at the end of each event and say ‘we are still packing ‘em in…’. On top of that, he still finds time to tour the club night across the globe, run a record label releasing quality, upfront dance music and manage a DJ agency. Put simply, Chew The Fat! is a MASSIVE Brand. So much so, arguably the best club in the world (Space, Ibiza) has welcomed them this summer to host a room at their much hallowed weekly ‘We Love... Sundays’ session. We thought we’d ask Paul to explain in his words why, after 10 years, Chew The Fat! is still rocking it out:

‘Chew the Fat! is all about unpretentious fun and a music policy that has been as wide and as open as any DJ wants it to be, each night sees a mix of the biggest DJs on the planet alongside fresh, exciting new DJs and producers that other clubs may have missed or not had the bottle to support. We’ve stood alone and sometimes taken a risk supporting some smaller acts but this has, in the long run, helped the club stand the test of time’

He goes onto say: 10 years on and the music continues to evolve, as has the night by booking the best and hottest, up and coming talent, not just in breaks, but including artists like Paul Woolford, Skream, D Ramirez, Audiojack & Trevor loveys.  These names add the variety that clubbers are looking for and allow the music to change throughout the night. I think that people who come to Chew The Fat! expecting one sound have been surprised. It changes every time!

So what’s planned for this super special event…? Well how about a DJ who needs no introduction, but we’ll give him one anyway – Trevor Loveys. With bone crushing tunes like 'Organ Grinder' smashing speakers in clubs all over the world, Trevor Loveys is one of the most prolific Dj / producers shaping the sound of dance music as we know it! Productions with Dave Taylor under the guise of the now household name of Switch, remixing chemical brothers, basement jaxx and buster rhymes. Joining forces with Herve, another long term friend and production partner, Speaker Junk was born into the Dubsided phenomenon which has helped propel Trevor’s production sky high. Remixing all and sundary the duo have gone on to smash the club circuit with a residency at Fabric and guest appearances on Annie Mac 'Presents' current U.K. tour.

Along with Fat! Records and club founder, DJ, promoter and a bona-fide super-lover, undercover Mr. Paul ‘Trouble’ Arnold. The Fly Society host the Bar who bring the awesome Cagedbaby & Go Home Productions alongside Fly Society residents making this one of their most diverse and forward thinking line ups yet..

As Paul Arnold rightly states:

Our 10th Anniversary tour is not about getting in the same old big names, we want it to represent the DJs and Producers who are cutting it right now as well as showing how we have developed over the last 10 years, I for one haven’t been as excited about music like this for some time. For Fat! it's time to look forward not back’

Birthday celebrations on the night include exclusive Chew The Fat! 10th Anniversary gifts; CD’s, T-shirts, Stickers, a secret book containing some of the best fatmails to date and more surprises on the night!

So bring it on… and if you’re not lucky enough to be in Glasgow on the 22nd November, Chew The Fat!’s 10th Anniversary club tour will also be at the following clubs:
