You, listening to/playing/writing music, art, poetry, going places esp. out of the city/county/state/country, eating food (don't care what it is, long as I can eat it AND AS LONG AS IT DON'T HAVE MEAT [how gay, right?]), and...well, I'm happy doing anything most of the time.
Music
I've come to decide that I enjoy more music than I hate. Since I like pretty much every band, I'm going to make a list of bands that I don't like, never have liked, and probably never will.
List of Bands/Artist/Genres I Despise
The Casualties and any band that tries to sound like them (i.e. most streetpunk/Oi! except for The Unseen, A Global Threat, Clit 45, and certain other bands), Ja Rule, mainstream country (minus Johnny Cash), any and all smooth jazz (i.e. Kenny G), mainstream rap (minus Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Nas), 70% of pop-punk, about 40% of the shit that people call "metalcore" (i.e. Bleeding Through, Bleed the Dream, Bleeding the Dream Through the Bled...ya I made that last one up...but you get the idea), nu-metal (never, ever call System of a Down nu-metal though, or I'll kill you), the Sex Pistols, mariachi music (sometimes, I don't mind it, but I'm in a bad mood). That about rounds it out for now.
I will now list the bands/artists that I have been listening to lately. Note that these are not the only bands I listen to. This is only the music that I have been listening to as of late.
List of Bands/Artists I Have Been Listening to Lately (in no particular order)
Between the Buried and Me, Tool, Mos Def, Wu-Tang Clan, Eric B & Rakim, Carcass, Bad Brains, Void, Government Issue, Black Flag, Stravinsky, Penderecki, Berlioz, Refused, Scatter the Ashes, Bauhaus, The Mars Volta, David Bowie, The Locust, Jimi Hendrix, Mott the Hoople, At The Drive-In, The Blood Brothers, Converge, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Wayne Shorter, Kenny Garrett, Ornette Coleman, Cannonball Adderly, Hank Mobley, Hot Cross, Circle Takes the Square, Envy, Fugazi, Rage Against the Machine, Das Oath, Fear Before the March of Flames, Pg. 99, Melt Banana, Moss Icon, The Germs, Television, Richard Hell & the Voidoids, Roxy Music, Comeback Kid, American Nightmare, Agathocles, Dream Theater, Mayhem, Capitalist Casualties, and Led Zeppelin.
Movies
All Stanley Kubrick films (i.e. 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Shining, A Clockwork Orange, Full Metal Jacket, Lolita, etc.), 8 1/2, Amarcord, Satyricon, Roma, Naked Lunch, The Man Who Fell to Earth, Tarnation, Taxi Driver, Repo Man, Ringu, Audition, Ju-On, Jackie Brown, Memento, Infernal Affairs 1 & 2, Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2, Reservoir Dogs, True Romance, Another State of Mind, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Requiem for a Dream, American History X, Trainspotting, Napoleon Dynamite, SLC Punk, the Last American Virgin, Say Anything, Malibu's Most Wanted (guilty pleasure), Brazil, well almost any movie you show me I'll enjoy.
Television
I will watch anything on t.v. Usually I don't watch it anyway. As far as shows, I really enjoy The Simpsons, Family Guy, and almost anything on HBO, IFC, and Sundance Channel.
Books
Naked Lunch, Howl, On the Road, (in the process of reading), 1984, Animal Farm, Catcher in the Rye, Stranger in a Strange Land, Catch-22, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (in the process of reading), Requiem for a Dream
Heroes
I don't exactly have heroes (at the moment, at least), but I look to Stanley Kubrick, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter, Igor Stravinsky, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Omar A Rodriguez-Lopez, Kenny Garrett, The Locust, and other various artists (not just musicians) for inspiration.
About me: My name is Cheyne (sounds like Shane) and I am really cool. I like going crazy, playing/listening/writing music, going out places, art, eating vegetables and healthy shit...lol, and fun. I tend to be easy going and will have fun in any situation I am in.
Who I'd like to meet: Your mom, your friend's mom, anybody that isn't close-minded or an asshole.
And not to be a rude asshole, but if I don't know you, don't friend me. If you wanna be my friend and I don't know who you are, at least message me first.
you know that starstruck feeling you get when you talk to a celebrity, where you think the have much better things they'd rather be doing other then talking to you? .... probably not...
anyway, thats how you make me feel. you're just that cool.
Rather then deleting the people I don't talk to much, I thought it might be better to start talking. Hope all is well, -Jack
