About me: We are a happening Catholic Youth Group!!!! We go by JPC (Jovenes Para Cristo) and our Parish is Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Melrose Park, IL. We have fun, we pray, we hang out, we eat, and currently we are RESTORING FAITH! FAITH is a 64 Impala who will symbolize our old FAITH and we're transforming it into a new one! We're broken up in teams, each in charge of a different part of the car, we're looking for sponsors, mentors, helpers, food, anything you can help with! And then we'll completely restore FAITH and make some funds for the Roof of our Church and also for a Youth Program that will address issues in our community such as Teenager Depresseion, Pregnancy, and Gang Violence.
Interested?! Send us a message or leave us a comment! Can't wait to hear from you!
At JPC, we keep it real. We know what's going down on the streets, we know that life is not easy, we know we are not perfect, we know we can always be better, we know the "adult" society doesn't understand us, we know they undermine our power, our potential, and our Catholic Faith as Youth, we know we don't fit in, we know society is using us and selling us lies we are believing. Yes...we keep it real. We know all this, and we also know that knowing it is not enough. That's why JPC is trying hard, really hard to make a difference. To show that with our modern ways, we can also evangelize our Catholic Faith and touch people's lifes. We need you, we can't do it alone. JPC is not ONLY A TEENAGERS' GROUP, IT'S A MOVEMENT, A CATHOLIC MOVEMENT TO BE SPECIFIC, THAT WILL CHANGE THIS NATION, THAT WILL CHANGE THIS WORLD, ONE PERSON AT A TIME!!!!!
JOIN US IN THIS JOURNEY OF FAITH!!!!!!!!!!

To have faith in the Creator to provide all your needs and desires is to be borne along through the difficulties of life as on wings of air.

A leper came to Jesus and kneeling down begged him and said, "If you wish, you can make me clean." Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand, touched him, and said to him, "I do will it. Be made clean." The leprosy left him immediately, and he was made clean. Then, warning him sternly, he dismissed him at once. He said to him, "See that you tell no one anything, but go, show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing what Moses prescribed; that will be proof for them." The man went away and began to publicize the whole matter. He spread the report abroad so that it was impossible for Jesus to enter a town openly. He remained outside in deserted places, and people kept coming to him from everywhere.
