It began in a suburb of Chicago. Recording mix tapes of House and Hip-Hop artists on late-night broadcasts from the city. [Chris] would take the Chicago sound back to hungry ears at his East Coast boarding school. He traveled to New York City and Boston on the weekends in High School and in College eventually traveled through Europe, absorbing the scenes and sounds of such cities as Paris, London, Dublin and Munich.
He recorded and engineered Symphonies, Rockabilly, Electronica, Punk, MIDI, Ska, Rock, and Acoustic music while in College. After earning a degree in Audio Engineering with honors from Webster University and serving as Musical Director for KGLX 1220 AM [St. Louis], he returned to Chicago. In the seven years since, he has worked as Sound Engineer for Bosco Productions and Broadview Media, as well as interning for Post Effects. He has worked in conjunction with venues such as Green Dolphin Street, Zentra, Red Dog and The District for Dust Traxx Recordings. [Chris] has also worked as Operations Manager, Warehouse Manager, Promotions Manager and Street Team Coordinator for Dust Traxx Recordings [Known for a list of sub-division labels including Clashbackk (label A&R Felix the Houscat), Xylophone Jones Recordings (A&R Tommie Sunshine), Catalyst Music (A&R Terry Mullan), STX Records (A&R Joey Beltram) and work by Paul Johnson, Roy Davis Jr].
Eventually he found his way into sales department of Groove Distribution. Groove is an importer and distributor of downtempo, rare grooves, jazzy and deep house, import hip hop, drum & bass, neo-soul, leftfield, nu jazz, and broken beat records and CD's. Some labels include Soul Jazz, Eighteenth Street Lounge, Tru Thoughts and Sonar Kollektiv.
In the 14 years he has been a DJ, onefiftyone has spun Fashion Shows, Art Gallery Openings, Loft Parties, Lounges, Bars and Nightclubs.

In the winter of 2008, Chris built a recording studio with his good friend, William Holland, for their music production group Square Frames. Since building the studio, Square Frames has been approached by several music groups to record or remix their work. Chris runs the studio and William covers the mastering.

hey, we can use chord memory on the juno to get "that" sound as well, although if we want to get really crazy...we could hook my juno up to the yamaha synth we have and use the chord memory to trigger a more "house" chord sound. say it...i've lost my mind.
