Television
I don't watch much tv - but if I do, i tend to stick to ABC or SBS. Here are a few of the shows that i have loved over the years:
Monty Python, Doug Anthony Allstars, Black Books, Red Dwarf, Anything by the Chaser team, most things by the GNW team, Spicks & Specks, Little Britain, I Am Not An Animal, The Glasshouse, Buffy (have to allow me at least one dodgy show)
Books
Anything (everything) by Ben Elton, Catcher In The Rye, Great Expectations, lots of non-fiction stuff (text books included) um, i don't read much :o/
whilst i don't read nearly enough, i have great passion to read some of the old classics. I just need someone to motivate me...
Currently I'm being persuaded to read Charles Baudelaire and i have a fascination with Jack Kerouac.
update: just finished reading Slaughterhouse-Five and it's a new favourite of mine :o)
Heroes
Neville Lawrence, Ben Elton, Mark Oliver Everitt, Albert Einstein, Billy Bragg, Thom Yorke, Billy Connolly, Robin Williams, Tim Rogers, Audrey Tautou, Paul McCartney, Jeff Tweedy, Ben Folds and songwriters that have excellent lyrics...
About me: "Oh, you’d think I would have learned by now
But no — I make the same mistake somehow
Time and time again
I’ve been doing it for days
Putting it off and putting it off
I’ve been doing it for ages
Oh, it’s always hanging over me
Like a bad dream not forgotten easily
Like a cartoon cloud above
I’ve been doing it for days
Putting it off and putting it off
As pointless as it is
I’ve been doing it for years
Putting it off and putting it off
I’ve been doing it for ages
Oh, you’d think I would have learned by now
But know I’ve been doing it for days
Putting it off and putting it off"
- Putting It Off And Putting It Off by The Lucksmiths.

i am currently in the process of updating my profile. It's been in need of it for a long time, so please excuse the current haphazardous state it is in!
silly; eclectic; unpredictable; looney; music nerd; regular gig-goer; pin-stripes and/or corduroy; obsessed with good music; pierced; op-shopper; always wearing my tangerine, grape or lime chucks (or a combination of the above); "dumb hair smart slacks"; monty python fan; likes to do odd things; anything from the 60s;
i don't like these dodgy things, but this one made me laugh (vaguely). I'll probably delete it once five people have told me i'm a lame-head for putting it here...
You Are 84% Open Minded
You are so open minded that your brain may have fallen out!
Well, not really. But you may be confused on where you stand.
You don't have a judgemental bone in your body, and you're very accepting.
You enjoy the best of every life philosophy, even if you sometimes contradict yourself.
Who I'd like to meet: Random, exuberant people, who share my taste in music, film and other stuff.
Oh, and if you have an unhealthy obsession in any of the following bands, I'd probably like to meet you:
Wilco, mclusky, Radiohead, The Eels and/or The Beatles.
