Chicks with guns got on their feet in 2006 when they recorded their first demo called "It's not Enough" and had a big releaseparty out in the woods outside their hometown Växjö. The party was a blast and they started to think of it more like something serious than a highschool hobbyband.
In the summer of 2007 they attended in växjös biggest band competition "basement" and made it to the finals, they didn't win but they got a lot of attention in media because of their wild live shows and good looks.
Later the same year a local record company called Red Pulse Records signed CWG to their label, which gave them the possibility to record an EP in a professional studio. It was entitled "On Your Mind" and was released in the
3rd of December 2008.
