Chicky is a South Philly-based indie pop band founded and co-fronted by Jon Levin and Jason Wall. In 2002, the band took what would become a five year hiatus, but has since returned with an all new repertoire about boring office jobs, dreams of rock stardom, and the mad nights and mornings we in the twentysomething set spend together every weekend. On January 29, 2008, Chicky released its first studio recording in nearly seven years, the four song EP "It's Digital, Maybe".

hello and thanks for the kind words! actually i live on 13th ave right now (although for only 2 weeks more) so your uncle's place is right down the block from me. it used to be a mcdonalds a while back. they have great desserts!
Yeah, it's like three blocks away from my guitar player and drummer's house. It's really nice, right on the water. I dig your stuff btw. "Maybe it's digital" has a great feeling to it, especially. Melody is completely infectious. Be in touch.
Sorry I've been so hard to reach the past few months. Between prepping my 80s show ("give a little respect...to me" - Erasure), learning new shamisen pieces (any excuse to look like something out of Memoirs of a Geisha!) and recording my Transformers tribute album (Optimus Prime - I think about you all off the time), I barely sleep!
But as busy as I am, I feel extremely blessed by such loving, caring and supportive fans, friends and family. You make every moment of this journey worth it! As a way to say thanks, and in my best efforts to spread holiday cheer, my Strangely Beautiful CD is now available for f-r-e-e (or almost ;-)
That is, you can now pay what you want/can. Any amount. No catch!
So stock up on copies of Strangely Beautiful now - they make great stocking stuffers and they'll only cost you what you pay :-) Please message me your mailing address and how many you want and I'll get them to you in no time!
Thanks again + best wishes for a nice, safe and peaceful holiday season.
Greetings to my favorite wig wearing band. U guys were GREAT on saturday. I am trying to get in touch with the manager @ Triumph so i will keep u posted. Cheers to Chicky yipeeeeeee......

Hey hope your weekend is going well. We just added an instrumental tune to player. The tune is called "Side Steppin". Eric penned it in 2003. Features some nice lead playing and "fiddle/violin". Kind of jazz an kind of country. It's different.
haha, selectively big. As in, bigger than you think, but still has plenty of room to work its way up. =) But there are a ton of great bands right now. Really, really great bands.
And I had to dig my Less Than Jake cds (and cassette in the case of Losing Streak) out today...
