General
My long-time interest is languages, having graduated this year in French & Spanish I am now on the lookout for a new direction in which I can take my life...
My greatest fascination is with Buddhism and I have been practising in the Theravada (Doctrine of the Elders) tradition for approx 7 years.
Music forms an important part of my daily life; I guess I have quite varied tastes and not really limited to particular genres ie. Girls Aloud - Chambao - Maria Callas...
It pleases me to walk in the countryside and see the natural world, to frequent places of historical interest and to endeavour to live and eat healthily, though I do have my weaknesses! :-P
Presently developing a fervent interest in Pre-Raphaelitism and Romanticism (with reference to the arts) but I'm not a pretentious art critic type person so don't worry hehe.
I also lived and studied in France and Spain for a year as part of my degree; this period of my life influenced me greatly and as a continuation of that I will be transfering to Italy in the Springtime to work through the European Voluntary Service helping to manage a nature reserve in Tuscany :-D
Apart from that, I guess I'm just your pretty average gay boy up north really and oh, I live in a village too so get your Little Britain gags over with lol...my friends are, for want of a better phrase, 'utterly fabulous' and I adore them...I can usually be found shimmying around in Manchester with the posse at the weekend, it's all good fun.
