Chico is an unique band, standing against every classification, getting their own way with thought-out rythmical schemes, ravishing harmonies, piercing electro pulses and thrilling melodies. Formed out at the end of 2001, the band has slowly started to develop its own style by mixing up all of the various influences from funky and reggae through jungle, electro just to finish on rock, punk and hardcore. In 2002 we recorded and released our demo, three-track EP entitled “A Tribute To Dead Efforts”. It was a time of intensing touring, catching up with a lot of helpful and inspiring people, shaping personalities but mostly making clear all of the main reasons and principal aims in this merrymaking.
After a few years of intensive rehearsals and struggle on stages, cutting short by changes on the board, Chico managed to release their full length debut album “One Big Alternative” published by Contrabanda Music in 2006. Soon the album met up with much appreciatively opinions and reviews as well in media and among the audience. As an effect of a successive promotion, Chico were able to perform on many club and festival stages in Poland as well as in other countries, sharing them with lots of great artists. Debut tracks have also reached other levels becoming used as a soundtrack to the computer game trailer and two movie productions.
Still the unbridled energy ledges haven’t run out, cause here comes Chico with a brand new EP “In Case Of Emergency” consist of strong dose of heavy banjos, melodic riddims, impulsive beatz and spicy synths! Go on and test yourself for strongly addictive thing!
