Born in Frankfurt/Germany CHIEF HUXLEY took his first musical steps starting to play the drums at the age of six.Digging through his parents vinyl he developed and enlarged his interest and passion for music in all of its shapes.Amazed by mid90s HipHop 15 year old Huxley couldnt avoid buying a pair of decks and a pc starting to make beats from his little vinyl collection.
Producing mainly HipHop beats Huxley later also started experimental shades in music from Breakbeats,DrumnBass and Electronic music in general.
After leaving the drums and a few bandexperiences aside he finally felt himself and his vision of good HipHop music rounded out meeting famous,algerian rhymemaker XENOS in Paris.Sharing idols in HipHop and a similar outlook on the genre the two friends decided to establish the most classic form in Hip Hop like Pete and C.L.,Rakim and Eric.B or Dj Premier and Guru,the duo,consisting of DJ and MC, named DA CLASSIX.
As the name suggests Da Classix are aiming to produce what maybe called classic,samplebased,dry and raw hiphop material with critical french lyrics.
This combination of nationalities hasnt been seen in such way in HipHop yet and will hopefully flourish and create a new state in the world of HipHop.
The first DA CLASSIX album will be finished soon despite the geographical distance is steadily hampering the workflow of the group.Look out and forward.
