Mythologie:
-Ialdabaoth, who is lion-headed or in the form of a lion, represents the kama principle, the false light that draws the soul into matter and struggles against its rise again to spirit. Some Gnostics held that Sophia sent Christos to help humankind when Ialdabaoth and his forces were shutting out the divine light, and Ialdabaoth, 'discovering that Christos was bringing to an end his kingdom of Matter, stirred up the Jews, his own people, against Him, and Jesus was put to death'
-Le démiurge, ou le créateur, est la déité responsable de la création de l'univers physique dans diverses cosmogonies. On attribue à Platon la première mention du démiurge, qu'il définit comme le dieu organisateur qui créa le monde à partir de la matière préexistante. Dans le gnosticisme, c'est une divinité, Yaldabaoth, têtue, irascible et ignorante, émanée du vrai Dieu, et la cause du mal par sa création désastreuse qui mêla la matière à l'étincelle divine.

Also, ialdabaoth is part of the liberation of alchemical transmutation, representing the demiurge in the darkness of matter that now radiates brilliantly in its pristine state
-In Gnostic creation stories, Yaldabaoth(Greek, 'Father of Chaos') is the demiurge, or inferior creator of the material world; his birth was a consequence of Sophia's wish to create a copy of herself. In creating the material, Yaldabaoth trapped the divine spirit in his creation.
