About me: This haunt is home to ghouls and specters that followed me here from Chillingham Castle the most haunted castle in England. It is rumored that at one point in history about 90% of people that entered the castle never came out again. Some of the history of the castle includes a cook who hanged herself in the kitchen, a ghostly funeral procession in the garden, the bones of a child who was found by a walled up fireplace. Men, women and children of all ages breathed their last in the foul smelling rooms of the dungeon. They were caught, held, and tortured in the depths of the castle, and it is known that in several rooms above the yells of those being held below could be heard. The chamber was filled with all sorts of torture devices such as an iron maiden, a rack, thumb screws, boiling pot, a chair with lethal spikes on the seat, branding irons, items used to gouge out eyes, a bed of nails, leg irons, chains, man traps and an Oubliette - to name a few.
While in Chillingham Manor you may see ghoulish images in the kitchen, as well as John Sage, who was the head torturer under Edward the Longshanks, still doing his job.
Be cautious while on the Devils Walk and don’t be surprised at what you may see.
Who I'd like to meet: Anybody who has a dark, sick, twisted sense of humor but can laugh about it. Anybody who loves being scarred and can appreciate the props as well as the scare.
